This piece was a quick study for a series I have had in my head for a few years now. Thematically, it seems a continuation of several sketches and other pieces over the years. However, it was completed soon after the Russian invasion of Ukraine and I cannot help but notice the similarities (colors of Ukraine's flag, memories of where buildings once stood, etc.).
